Service/function
Description
DNS
Used for sending requests to DNS servers.
H.225 and H.245 call
The range of ports to be used for call signalling after
signaling port range
a call is established.
SIP TCP outbound port
The range of ports to be used by outbound TCP/TLS

SIP connections to a remote SIP device.
Traversal media port
For traversal calls (where the VCS takes the media as

well as the signaling), the range of ports to be used
for the media. Ports are allocated from this range in
pairs, with the first port number of each pair being an

TURN relay media port
The range of ports available for TURN media relay.

LDAP
Used for outbound connection to an LDAP server
(if the VCS is configured to use an LDAP server for
H.350 authentication).
External manager
Used for outbound connection to an external manager
e.g. Cisco TMS.
Third-party FindMe /
Used for outbound connection to a third-party FindMe
User Policy server
/ User Policy server.
Remote logging
Used to send messages to the remote syslog server.
TMS Agent
Used to connect to another VCS or Cisco TMS for
data replication.
