Paper feed unit
@ Clean the paper feed rollers,
Ato D, with alcohol.
@) Check the position of the paper feed roller A.
8) Lube the sintered bearings with grease.
@® Clean and lube the PF clutch.
6) Clean the wait roller.
() MS1 and MS4 performance check.

Check
the proper
operation
of the PS plate and PS
solenoid.
Developing unit
DM Adjust the developing unit after replacing the develop-
er.
® Clean the area around the developing unit.
Separator unit
® Clean the separator roller with alcohol.
@) Clean the separation arm.

Make sure that the separator roller rotates smoothly.

Clean the remover tape, and check for deformation and
scratch.
®
Make sure that the remover tape has been set properly.
Fusing unit
o Clean the heat rollers and separator pawls with alcohol
and check for scratches.

Work description
Push the COPY button to open the U-turn
Open and close the front exterior, and
Open and close the U-turn guide.
Pull out the developing unit.
Make 10 copies each mode. Enlarge,
normal, and reduce modes.
Make sure that the copier goes into the
ready state after completion of copying.
Check the status in the total counter
@
Lube the gears and bearings.'
@) Check for the proper positioning of the thermistor and
the thermal fuse.
@
Replace the cleaning rollers.
Optical unit
@ Clean the original cover and table glass with alcohol.
@) Clean reflectors with a dry cloth, then alcohol. Finally,
clean them again with a dry cloth.
@) Clean the copy lamp with alcohol.
Check the tension of the optics drive wire.
©) Clean the blank lamp filter.
High voltage units
@ After
replacement
of the
corona
wire,
adjust the
tension.
@ Clean the corona wires with alcoho! and wipe dry.
@) After replacement of the main corona wire or main
corona unit, perform the DCD adjustment.
Drum unit
@ Clean the drum. (between P.M.)

Wipe the drum with a clean soft cloth. Do not touch
the drum with your fingers.
@
Clean the drum
blade, toner receive
seal, and toner
roller.
Others
@
Clean the drive unit and photocoupler.
@
Check proper warmup time (40 seconds at
normal temperature).
@
Make sure that the READY
lamp lights up.
Make sure that the MAINTENANCE,
TONER, and MISFEED lamps are off.
Ensure that the MISFEED indicator lights and
the machine operation is suspended.
Ensure that the MISFEED indicator turns
off.
Make sure that the CH indicator appears on
the multicopy window.
