2. Installation
Installation requirements
Please note the following requirements when installing the
copier.
(1) Machine environment
@ Avoid installation in direct sunlight or bright locations
near a window.
Direct sunlight may cause the plastic components and
the original cover to deform.
Frosted glass may also
produce the same effect.

Avoid installation in a hot, damp place or where rapid
changes
in humidity occur
(for example; near an air
conditioner).
This may
cause
paper
to dampen
or frost to occur
inside the copier, and
may
lead to a misfeed and a
deterioration in the copy quality.
The recommended environmental conditions are:
20 to 25°C (68 to 77°F), 65% + 5%RH
The nominal! environmental conditions are:
15 to 30°C (59 to 86°F), 20 to 85%RH.

@) Avoid, installation in a place where dust or vibration is
encountered.
Dust deposit inside the copier may lead to a deteriora-
tion of copy quality or machine trouble.
