Received Message Display Type (Message Display Type)

Message Display Type is the main display type when the transceiver receives a Status Message or Short Message.
Message Display
Type
Only a message appears on the main display when the transceiver receives a Status Message or Short
Fixed
Message. A message is scrolled on the main display if the message is longer than 15 characters.
A message appears for 3 sec and Selcall ID appears for 2 sec on the main display alternately upon reception of
Alternate
Status Message or Short Message.
Note
• The previous display appears again by pressing a key while the received message is displayed.
• This function is unavailable for NX-200S/ NX-300S.

Configuring the Message Display Type (

Random Access (Contention)

Random Access allows the transceiver to randomize the transmission start time for each transceiver to send data when
the channel becomes available.
If a large number of transceivers begin transmitting immediately after the channel becomes available, transmission
contention may occur. This function prevents this contention.

Random Access period varies depending on the configuration of FleetSync Baud Rate. (Refer to
