9 NXDN TRUNKING SYSTEM
9.20 Sending GPS Data
Sending GPS Data Preferentially While Receiving a Group Call
(GPS Report Priority (Over Group Call))
GPS Report Priority (Over Group Call) is the function that gives higher priority to sending GPS data, and stops receipt if
the timing of automatic GPS data transmission including polling while the transceiver is receiving Group Call (Transmission
Trunked).
If this function is enabled, the transmission of GPS data is started at the timing of automatic GPS data transmission
including polling while the transceiver is receiving Group Call (Transmission Trunked).
This function is used to avoid restricting automatic GPS data transmission by the frequent receipt of Group Calls
(Transmission Trunked).
Note
• This function can be used only if "Transmission Trunked" is configured for Trunking Type. If "Message Trunked (Enhanced)" is
configured for Trunking Type, even if the timing of automatic GPS data transmission including polling comes while receiving a Group
Call (Message Trunked (Enhanced)), the transmission of GPS data will not start.
• GPS data transmission will not start even if the timing of automatic GPS data transmission including polling comes when a control
channel is used as a traffic channel in a system where a channel is used as both a control channel and traffic channel.
• In multiple systems, GPS Report Priority (Over Group Call) can be configured for each system.
