Electrical monitoring

Based on the detection of electrical current interruption and inception, the ACBMSCBR function
provides the following electrical monitoring values at its outputs.
Pre-strike angle and electrical making time
Arcing time and electrical interruption time
Re-strike/re-ignition detection and its count over operations.
Pre-strike angle and electrical making time (CB closing)
ACBMSCBR provides two sets of values each for pre-strike angle and electrical making time during
any close operation, namely the predicted and actual values of the operation. The predicted values
are published as soon as the close command is received on the CLCMDINP input, and the actual
values are published as soon asthe inception instant is detected. The predicted values are given at
the outputs PPRESTRAX, PELORTLX and PELORTCLX. The actual values are given at the outputs
APRESTRAX, AELORTMLX and AELORTCLX.
The predicted pre-strike angle PPRESTRAX (in degrees) is defined as:
PPRESTRAX = TGTANGLx + SCATTERLX
where SCATTERLX is the optimized offset from ideal target making instant. Refer
The predicted electrical making time PELORTCLX (in milliseconds) is defined as:
PELORTCLX = INPRICLLX – PPRESTRAX + CLOSECOMP + ADAPTCLLX
where PPRESTRAX is the expected pre-arcing time, CLOSECOMP is the total compensation value
for the mechanical closing time and ADAPTCLLX is the adaptive correction value for closing.
The same value is also given at the output PELORTLX for closing operations.
