This text represents an identification (ID) for the text to be output, which must be identical for
all languages.
4.7.8

Import of the language resource files after translation

After the translation of your language resource files, import them into your project as described
in the following.
Whereby, you overwrite the existing files which you exported before the translation. Non-
translated texts of your 1st standard language, e.g. your native language, are replaced by texts
of the standard languages 2 to 6.
4.7.9

Use of the ResFile() function

ResFile("<file>")
The ResFile() function is for the use or call of text resources in the form of files.
To display the contents of a file, you can use the ResFile() function via the properties fields
for information texts in the "Dialogs" and "Steps" tabs as an alternative to plain text. Use in the
script is also possible.
The file specified via the <file> argument must be, with the same name in different
languages, below the respective folder in the "List of language resources". The file must be in
the "*.txt", "*.htm" or "*.html" format.
The associated file is then used for the package execution in accordance with the selected
language. Whereby, the file is first sought in the language folder, e.g. "deu" for the selected
language "German" and used. If the file is not found in the language folder, it is sought one
level higher in the "res" root folder of the "List of language resources" and, if available used.
This mechanism also allows the same file to be used for different languages, without having
to store the file several times.
Example of ResFile()
Calling the function in the information text of the "Package configuration" dialog page:
=ResFile("HintForKonfiguration.txt")
