4.11 Password protection

To create a package, proceed as follows:
1. Select "Project" > "Deploy" and select whether you want to create a Windows package or
a Linux package.
2. Select a name and a target directory for the package.
An automatic verification run is started that checks the package for inconsistencies and
errors. You can also perform the verification run manually via the "Verification run" button.
4.11 Password protection
4.11.1

Overview

Create MyConfig offers password protection for projects, components, packages and
logbooks. Using this password protection, you can protect your own know-how from being
viewed and changed by unauthorized persons.
NOTICE
Password protection - read-protection
Password protection protects the logbook from unwanted viewing by third parties.
Note that password protection provides only basic read protection.
Because the content of logbooks does not make any claim for confidentiality, no encryption
is provided.
The password protection does not provide any secure protection against cyber attacks.
You can use the password list to define various access levels. You can then execute the
following activities only by entering the correct password:
● Opening or saving a project or a component.
● Executing a package at the machine or reimporting this package as project.
● Viewing a protected logbook.
