7.7.9 IEC103 Device

The SmartLogger can connect to a third-party device that supports IEC103, such as a relay
protection or monitoring device like a box-type transformer. Since the protocol specifications
vary depending on vendors, you need to obtain a protocol specifications file in .cfg format
from Huawei and import the file into the SmartLogger for successfully connecting to a
third-party device.

7.7.9.1 Querying Related Information

Select the IEC103 device on the Monitoring page and query its information on the displayed
page.

7.7.9.2 Setting Telecontrol Parameters

Because of permission restriction, log in as Advanced User. Select the IEC103 device to be
set on the Monitoring page and click the Telecontrol tab to access the target page.

 IEC103 devices cannot be detected automatically and need to be added manually. For details, see
7.10.7.1 Connecting Devices.
 The SmartLogger can connect to a maximum of five types of IEC103 devices and can connect to
multiple devices of the same type.
You can click the
tertiary navigation menu to query IEC103 device-related information.
