Sending incident reports manually

To send an incident report manually to Cisco customer support:
1. Go to the

save the file.
4. Save the file in a location from where it can be forwarded to Cisco customer support.
Removing sensitive information from a report
The details in the downloaded incident report are Base64-encoded, so you will not be able to meaningfully
view or edit the information within the file.
If you need to edit the report before sending it to Cisco (for example, if you need to remove any potentially
sensitive information) you must copy and paste the information from the

Viewing incident reports

incident reports that have occurred since the VCS was last upgraded. A report is generated for each incident,
and the information contained in these reports can then be used by Cisco customer support to diagnose the
cause of the failures.
For each report the following information is shown:
Field
Description
Time
The date and time when the incident occurred.
Version The VCS software version running when the incident occurred.
Build
The internal build number of the VCS software version running when the incident occurred.
State
The current state of the incident:
Pending: indicates that the incident has been saved locally but not sent.
Sent: indicates that details of the incident have been sent to the URL specified in the
configuration
page.
