Light Level
Setting the Activation and Deactivation Levels
The NightShot (TDN) activate and deactivate points are identified by their video
gain and shutter time values. The full list of values from highest light level to
lowest are shown in
Table
The deactivate point must always be at a higher light level (lower gain and lower
shutter time) than the activate point. If the ACUIX continually switches
between day mode and night mode try moving the deactivate and activate
points farther apart.
To ensure the highest quality of picture (lowest video noise) the deactivate point
should be set to 0 dB and 1/60 s, with the activate point set far enough below
that to ensure that the ACUIX does not oscillate between day and night modes
at any point in the light level range found in the application. With this setting the
ACUIX switches to night mode with a black and white picture at the highest
possible light level.
