Drive Belt Auto-tensioner Removal/

Installation

1. Remove the drive belt (see page 4-31).
2. Remove the power steering (P/S) fluid reservoir
from the holder.
3. Remove the P/S pump (A) without disconnecting
the P/S hoses, then remove the P/S hose clamp (B).

4. Remove the auto-tensioner.

(2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)
5. Install the auto-tensioner in the reverse order of
removal.

12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 8.8 lbf·ft)
10 x 1.25 mm
44 N·m (4.5 kgf·m, 33 lbf·ft)

Tensioner Pulley Replacement

1. Remove the drive belt (see page 4-31).
2. Remove the power steering (P/S) fluid reservoir
from the holder.
3. Remove the P/S pump (A) without disconnecting
the P/S hoses, then remove the P/S hose clamp (B).

44 N·m (4.5 kgf·m, 33 lbf·ft)
4. Remove the auto-tensioner.
5. Clamp the auto-tensioner (A) by using two 8 mm
bolts (B) and a vise (C) as shown. Do not clamp the
auto-tensioner itself, then remove the tensioner
pulley bolt (D), then remove the tensioner pulley (E).

6. Install the tensioner pulley in the reverse order of
removal.
