Before you start

Introduction
Before starting a run, it is necessary to read and understand the information in this
section and to perform the checks listed in the next topic.
Checklist
Make sure that the system is correctly prepared:

Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
during operation and maintenance of this product.
•
Hazardous substances. When using hazardous chemicals,
take all suitable protective measures, such as wearing protec-
tive clothing, glasses and gloves resistant to the substances
used. Follow local and/or national regulations for safe opera-
tion and maintenance of the product.
•
High pressure. The product operates under high pressure.
Wear protective glasses and other required Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Prepare the system according to the settings in the method to be run.
Select a suitable column for the application.
Immerse the buffer inlet tubing in correct buffer vessels.
Immerse all waste tubing in appropriate waste vessels (consider vessel size, placement
and material).
Verify that no tubing is twisted and that the flow path is free from leakage.
