To configure valid Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption, use the wep-keyid in the SSID
configuration mode.
Syntax Description wep_key
Command Default
The default value for wep_key is 1.

Usage Guidelines The WEP encryption supports four groups of password. You should use the wep-keyid command to
configure which group of password takes effect. For example, the four groups of WEP password are
cisco1, cisco2, cisco3, and cisco4. The command wep-keyid 3 means the password cisco3 will take
effect.
