(3) Azimuth of Slit Lens Adjustment
Measuring instruments: Oscilloscope

Adjustment
1. Install the Dolby Cat. No. 69P. (Refer to Section 2-4.)
2. Set the oscilloscope to the X/Y mode, and play the
film.
3. Loosen the set screw, and turn the laser slit lens so that
the oscilloscope screen becomes as shown in Fig. 3.

(4) Focus Adjustment

Adjustment
1. Install the Dolby Cat. No. 69P. (Refer to Section 2-4.)
2. Connect the spectrum analyzer to the audio output of
FVS-T1000.
3. Perform the menu operation to set the DELAY to OFF.
Menu operation: AUDIO → MAINTENANCE →
4. Play the film, and loosen the lens adjust ring and turn
the lens adjust ring to adjust the focus of the slit lens
so that the display of the spectrum analyzer becomes
linear of _6 dB/OCT.
5. If no problems are detected in the check after adjust-
ment, apply lock compound between lens adjust ring
(B) and lens adjust ring.
After adjusting, turn OFF all switches S1 of the PRE-46
board.
