5. Removing the laser source unit
Loosen the setscrew, and remove the laser source unit.

6. Installing the laser source unit
Align the positioning lines of a new laser source unit and
laser slit lens, and secure them with a setscrew.
7. Connecting connector
Connect the harness connector to CN6 on the PRE-46
board.
8. Adjusting gain
Perform the gain adjustment. (Refer to Section 6-10-2.)
9. Installing the FTP panel B
Install the FTP panel B.
10. Installing the S audio cover, S electrode of
ionizer and handle
Install the S audio cover, S electrode of ionizer and handle.
(It is not necessary to remove the S electrode of ionizer for
the serial number 10701 and later.)

Preparations
1. Put the unit into STANDBY OFF mode.
2. Turn off the AC power supply that supplies the power
to the FVS-1000.

To prevent an electric shock, be sure to turn off the
power of the AC power supply that supplies the power
to the FVS-1000 before removing.
Removal
1. Removing the audio cover
Remove the audio cover. (Refer to Section 3-4-11.)
2. Removing the S electrode of ionizer
Remove the S electrode of ionizer.
(Refer to Section 3-4-11.)
(It is not necessary to remove this part for the serial
number 10701 and later.)
3. Removing the FTP panel B
Remove the FTP panel B. (Refer to Section 2-7-4.)
4. Disconnecting the harness connector
Disconnect the harness connector from CN3 on the PRE-
46 board.
