CONFIDENTIAL FAXING

This function allows you to send an original and store it in the memory of the recipient's fax machine to be printed only when
the correct passcode is entered. This is useful when you only want certain people to see a faxed original, or when several
departments are sharing the same fax machine. If you enter a passcode, you can also receive confidential faxes.

To use this function, the recipient must have a SHARP fax machine that has the confidential fax function. (On this model
you can use up to 10 confidential boxes.) For more information, see the manual for the recipient's fax machine.
When using this function, the sender and recipient must have their own telephone number entered into the fax machine.
About confidential boxes and Passcodes
Confidential boxes and passcodes are used for receiving confidential faxes. The recipient of a confidential fax must enter a 2-
digit confidential box number (00 to 99), then the 4-digit passcode (0000 to 9999) that each confidential box has.
Enter the confidential box numbers and passcodes with a user program. Please see page Appendix-15.
When you enter the passcode, you cannot view it on the display for security reasons. If you forget the
passcode, print the optional setting list to confirm the passcode. (See page Appendix-27)
