ERROR MESSAGES AND SIGNALS

You can confirm the status of the fax machine by the audible signals it generates and by the messages that appear on the
message display. When any of the following messages appear, take the action listed below.

Meaning
Direct sending or receiving could not
complete correctly.
There is a misfeed in the single pass
feeder.
A fax was received, but it could not be
printed bacause paper of the appropriate
size was not loaded. The display
indicates the number of the paper tray
(1 to 4). YYY is the size of the received
data, indicated on the message display
(for example, A4).
There are too many sheets output on the
job separator tray.
There is a job separator tray error.
There is a misfeed in the exit area.
The cover is open.
There is a misfeed.
There is no toner.
Action
Perform the operation again.
Reset the sheets of the
original in the SPF.
Load paper of the size
indicated on the message
display.
Remove the output, confirm that
the copier is in the initial state,
and press the CLEAR ALL key.
Press the CLEAR ALL key.
Clear the misfeed.
Close the cover.
Clear the misfeed.
Notify the dealer where you
bought the fax machine.
