Interface Card Reference Information

General Procedures

All NICs require that you follow these procedures:
1. If not inserted at the factory, insert the NIC into one of the three slots on
the left of the IP500 Series appliance. The slots are numbered 1, 2, and 3,
from top to bottom.
2. Connect the NIC as required for your network.
3. Start your browser and bring up Voyager, the Web-based configuration
and monitoring application. Voyager recognizes the NIC.
4. To configure the NIC, follow the instructions in Voyager. See Voyager
Inline Help or the Voyager Reference Guide.

ATM NIC Specifications

The IP500 Series appliance supports an ATM NIC with the following
features:
Conforms to RFC 1483 for a default MTU value of 9180 bytes
Tracing through
Compliance with ITUT G703
Check Point FireWall-1 security
