Booting the System

The
boot
you to set the boot device, boot file, and boot flags from the command line.
The command has the following form:
boot boot-device boot-file boot-flags
where boot-device is the storage device from which the operating system
loads at boot up and boot-file is the operating system kernel. The boot-flags
control the operation of the command. For a list of possible boot flags see the
boot flag table in
For example, at the boot-manager command prompt, enter the following:
BOOTMGR[0]> boot wd0 /image/current/mykernel -vd
This command boots mykernel from disk wd0 in verbose and debug
mode.
You can supply all, any, or none of the arguments. If you do not supply an
argument, the boot manager uses the default. It first searches its non-volatile
memory to see if the corresponding default argument is specified there. If so,
it uses that value; if not, it defaults to the default listed in the following table.
