All access control lists (ACLs) and QoS class-maps referenced in the QoS policy-map should be
preconfigured on an ISG.
A QoS policy must have an active session before using the Cisco VSA to modify the QoS policy. If
there is an active QoS policy in the specified direction, an error message is relayed.
To avoid configuring a default QoS policy on a target, add a default QoS Policy RADIUS message.
Multiple QoS policies can be in the same CoA Access Accept message.
Two different QoS services should not have overlapping classes as shown in the example below:
1st Service with voip-AOL and voip-AOL-control incl. parameters
2nd Service with voip-AOL and voip-DT-Control incl. parameters
If you activate the second service, it will overwrite the parameters from the first service in the class
voip-AOL.
In the following example, service 1 and 2 do not have overlapping classes:
1st Service with voip-AOL and voip-AOL-control incl. parameters
2nd Service with voip-DT and voip-DT-Control incl. parameters
Although parentheses, semicolons, and dollar signs are permitted when defining class maps using
the CLI, these special characters should not be used in class-map names. VSA syntax strings allow
parentheses [( )] and semicolons (;), so these characters could cause confusion if used in class-map
names. Dollar signs ($) are used internally, so they could result in unexpected behavior if used in
class-map names or policy-map names. If you do use parentheses in a class-map name or policy-map
name, be sure to use an equal number of opening and closing parentheses.
class-map names should not contain commas (','). Commas are used as delimiters between class-map
names in the list of VSA strings.
