ANCP Command Reference
ancp neighbor
To specify the Access Network Control Protocol (ANCP) access node neighbor (DSLAM) when
configuring port mapping between a DSLAM and broadband remote access server (BRAS), use the
ancp neighbor command in global configuration mode. To remove the ANCP neighbor, use the no form
of this command.

Usage Guidelines
Use this command when mapping ports between DSL aggregation modems (for example, DSLAMs) and
network edge devices in DSL broadband environments. After you specify the ANCP access node
neighbor, you enter ANCP mapping configuration mode, which allows you to group access node port
clients to the DSLAM neighbor and configure access node port client-to-BRAS port mappings.
Examples
The following example shows how to specify the ANCP neighbor when mapping ports between a
DSLAM and the BRAS. In the example, the ANCP neighbor is named dslam1 with an ID of 10.2.3.4.

Modification
This command was introduced and implemented on the Cisco 10000 series
router.

The name of the DSLAM neighbor.
Keyword for the DSLAM neighbor identifier.
