5 LOADING LED
Lights when the tape has been reeled out of the loaded cartridge and is ready for
recording or playback.
Blinks while the cartridge is loading or unloading.
Turns off when the cartridge compartment is empty.
If LOADING LED is not blinking during loading, once eject the cartridge, then load it
again.
Note
Loading and unloading a cartridge without MIC may take a longer than an MIC cartridge.
6 EJECT button
Press this button to eject the cartridge from the recorder.
EMERGENCY EJECT
When a cartridge cannot be ejected even after several minutes when pressing the
EJECT button, follow the procedures below to eject it.
1) Set OFF the STAND BY switch.
Consequently, the LCD display disappears.
2) Set ON the STAND BY switch.
"LOAD" and "WAIT" are displayed on the LCD screen alternatively.
3) During display of this message, press the EJECT button more than twice.
The LCD display turns to "UNLD/WAIT" and the cartridge is ejected.
Note:
If ejecting a cartridge by this way, the cartridge may get damaged.
Furthermore, failing ejection even by this operation, contact your local Sony Office or
Service Center.
