Bluetooth taskbar Icon state and Bluetooth device Icon states change as Bluetooth
devices are discovered, paired, connected and disconnected. There may be audible or
visual signals as paired devices re-connect with the Thor VM1.
Assumption: The System Administrator has Discovered and Paired targeted Bluetooth
devices for the Thor VM1. The Thor VM1 operating system has been upgraded to the
revision level required for Bluetooth client operation. An application (or API) is available
that will accept data from serial Bluetooth devices.
Bluetooth Devices
The Bluetooth Devices tab displays any device previously discovered and paired with
the Thor VM1.
Discover
Tap the Discover button to locate all discoverable Bluetooth devices in the vicinity. The
Discovery process also queries for the unique identifier of each device discovered.

The default Bluetooth setting is On.
The Thor VM1 cannot be discovered by other Bluetooth devices when the Computer
is discoverable option is disabled (unchecked) on the Settings panel.
Other Bluetooth devices cannot be discovered if they have been set up to be Non-
Discoverable or Invisible.
When Filtered Mode is enabled, the Thor VM1 can pair with one Bluetooth scanner
and one Bluetooth printer.
When Filtered Mode is disabled, the Thor VM1 can pair with up to four Bluetooth
devices.
It is not necessary to disconnect a paired scanner and printer before a different
scanner or printer is paired with the Thor VM1.
The target Bluetooth device should be as close as possible (up to 32.8 ft (10 meters)
Line of Sight) to the Thor VM1 during the pairing process.
