Reassembly
CAUTION: When installing the 3rd/,lth and 5th synchro
hubs, support the shaft on steel blocks. and instsll the
synchro hubs using a press.
NOTE: Refer to page 13-15 for reassembly sequence.
1. Support 2nd gear on steel blocks, then install the
3rd/4th synchro hub using the special tools and a
press,

2 . I n s t a l l t h e 3 r d l 4 t h s y n c h r o s l e e v e b y a l i g n i n g t h e
stops of the 3rd/4th synchro sleeve and hub.
NOTE: After installing, check the operation of the
3rdl4th synchro hub set.
SYNCHRO SLEEVE
3. Install the sth synchro hub using the special tools
ano a oress.

Install the ball bearing using the special tools and a
press.
