Saving a route as you travel

To see or edit the route on the Chart
screen at any time, press CHART
To make a record of a trip that you may
want to repeat later, you can save
waypoints into a route as you travel by
pressing the key every time you
SAVE/MOB
pass a point you want to store in the route.
The save-route function makes this a very
simple process: First, you tell the 972 that
you want to save a route as you travel,
then you press
SAVE/MOB
new waypoint, then you tell it to stop
saving the route when you reach the end
of the route.
To begin saving a route as you travel:
1. Press WAYPTS/ROUTES, and then press
Routes
to display the Routes screen:

as you pass each
2. Press the
Return
to go back to the new route entry
screen.

menu key to set up saving a
route automatically.
The Save Route screen is displayed, ask-
ing you to enter the name of the new route
to be saved.
If you use the name of any existing route,
waypoints will be added to the end of that
route.
