Make sure that any configuration changes made are saved before exiting.
NOTE
Communicating By Using a TCP/IP Connection
It is assumed that in the terminal emulation application, you have selected TCP/IP.
Telnet must be enabled on the switch.
To display the console:
Enter the IP address of the switch in the Host Address field.
Click OK. The terminal emulation opens.
Enter the username cisco (default) and press Enter.
Enter the password cisco (default) and press Enter.
If this is the first time that you have logged on with the default username and
password, or the switch has been rebooted to factory defaults, you are asked to
change your password. The following message appears:
Please change your password from the default settings. Please change the
password for better protection of your network. Do you want to change the
password (Y/N) [Y]?
Enter Y, and set a new administrator password.
You are now ready to configure the switch. Refer to the
