Taking Temperature Measurements

Patients may take their temperature with a common thermometer or a non-inva-
sive thermometer. When prompted to enter temperature, as shown below, a patient
will enter the reading from the thermometer and press the Forward button.
Remind a patient about using the decimal point as needed:

Taking Blood Glucose Readings

MyGlucoHealth Glucometer
Exchange batteries in between patient assignments and use fresh batteries prior
to patient usage. Confirm date and time settings are correct when new batteries
are installed. Follow all manufacturer instructions.
When a patient is prompted to enter vital signs, the following screen appears. A
patient only needs to press the up button on the glucometer, as instructed by the
Genesis Touch:
The glucometer will beep and the last reading will be displayed on the Genesis
Touch screen.
H3 System Adapter
It is recommended to use high-capacity lithium batteries in the adapters. Check
the H3 adapters every 30-90 days. To preserve battery life in the blue J&J adapter,
make sure it does not remain connected to the glucometer after a patient has com-
pleted their vital signs measurements.
