For a black H3 Adapter, plug into the right side of
the Bayer® glucometer.
After the glucometer has been plugged in, follow the directions below:
If you have a black Bayer H3 Adapter, press the M
button on the glucometer for one second.
The Genesis Touch will show that it is Acquiring data..., and the H3 adapter lights
will blink. When complete, the Genesis Touch will show the following screens.
A green light on the H3 adapter will blink 3 times and power off.
The glucometer will also automatically power off.

When a patient is prompted to
enter vital sign measurements, the
screen on the left appears.
At this time, a patient should plug
in the blood glucose adapter as
directed below:
For a blue H3 Adapter, plug into the bottom of
the Johnson & Johnson glucometer:
On a blue J&J Adapter, press the red button for
one second. A green light turns on.
