Method
Generate
smoke under
a smoke
detector or
multi-
functional
sensor. (If real
smoke is not
allowed, press
the TEST
button on the
sensor.)
Observe the
PWR, RUN,
and ALM
indicators.

Expected Result
● A smoke alarm is
displayed on the
active alarm page
of the WebUI.
● The skylight is
opened.
● The alarm beacon
produces audible
and visual alarms.
● If the PWR
indicator is steady
green, the power
input is normal.
● The RUN
indicator blinks at
long intervals,
indicating that
the device is
running properly.
● The ALM
indicator is off.
3 Routine Maintenance
Troubleshooting
● Check whether
the smoke
detector or multi-
functional sensor
is faulty.
● Check whether
the skylight
system is normal.
● If the alarm
beacon produces
audible and visual
alarms, check
whether the
alarm beacon is
faulty and
whether the cable
connection is
proper.
● If the PWR
indicator is off,
check whether
the 48 V power
cable and
connectors are
normal. If not,
reconnect them. If
so, replace them.
● If the RUN
indicator blinks at
short intervals,
check whether
the
communications
cable is loose or
disconnected. If
so, reconnect the
cable. If not,
replace the cable.
● If the ALM
indicator is steady
on, check for
alarms.
