Step 2 Measure L1, L2, L3, and N using an electroprobe to ensure that the SPD has no
voltage.
Step 3 Mark the corresponding port names on the cables, use a Phillips screwdriver to
loosen the wiring terminals, and remove the cables.
Step 4 Lift the clip ring of the faulty SPD and remove the SPD.

Step 5 Install the new SPD and reconnect the cables.
Step 6 Turn on the upstream SPD switch for the SPD.

6.14 Replacing an MCB

Prerequisites
Procedure
Step 1 Disconnect the MCB input.
Step 2 Use an electroprobe to measure the input and output terminals to ensure that the
MCB has no voltage.
Issue 02 (2022-07-18)
Tools: electroprobe, insulated gloves, Phillips screwdriver, flat-head
screwdriver, step ladder
Material: a new and intact MCB of the same model
If a switch is installed at the upstream of the MCB, turn off and record the
switch based on the electrical diagram and label.
If a protective fuse is installed at the upstream of the MCB, locate and record
the fuse position based on the electrical diagram and label, push the handle
of the fuse outwards, and remove the fuse to disconnect the circuit.
