Table 8-3 Common faults and troubleshooting for PSUs
Symptom
The PWR indicator (green)
is off.
The ALM indicator (yellow)
is steady on.
The ALM indicator (yellow)
is blinking.
The ALM indicator (red) is
steady on.
Issue 07 (2020-03-16)
Expected Result
The green indicator is steady
on, and the yellow indicator
is blinking.
Ambient temperature:
–20° C to +50° C
Humidity: 0-95% RH
(non-condensing)
The cable connection is
secure.
Cables are not damaged.
Possible Cause
There is no AC input.
The PSU is faulty.
Overtemperature protection
is triggered.
AC input overvoltage or
undervoltage protection is
triggered.
Communication with the
PSU is interrupted.
Communication with the
main control module is
interrupted.
Output overvoltage
protection is triggered.

Troubleshooting
If the indicator status is abnormal, check
the network cable connection.
If the humidity or temperature is
abnormal, check the smart cooling
product status.
Secure loose cables.
Replace damaged cables.
Measure
Check whether the AC input
is abnormal.
Replace the PSU.
The ambient temperature
exceeds the upper
threshold, and the
cooling capacity of the
smart cooling product
needs to be increased.
The air channel is
obstructed and needs to
be unblocked.
Check the AC input.
1. Clean the connector in
the rear of the faulty
PSU.
2. If the fault persists,
replace the ECC800
subrack.
If the PSU is locked out,
disconnect the AC input
from the PSU, and then
power on the PSU again
