7.3.1b Calibrating the
To calibrate the transmitter ANALOG INPUT , refer to Figure 112 below and
complete the following steps:
1. Click the CALIBRATE button to open the ANALOG INPUT CALIBRATION
menu.
2. Move the first slide switch to the AI 1 position.
3. Connect a 4 mA calibrated current source to the transmitter's analog
input.
4. Move the next slide switch to the 4 mA position.
5. In the 4 mA text box, the input current measured by the PT900 transmitter
is displayed (see Before screen below).
6. Click ADJUST to perform the calibration or click CANCEL to discard the
displayed value. After clicking the ADJUST button, the current value
displayed in the 4 mA text box should be much closer to 4 mA (see After
screen below).
7. Repeat steps 2-6 to calibrate the 4 mA and 20 mA inputs for AI 1 and AI 2 .
8. Click the RESET button to reset all the analog input calibrations.
