WARNING
LOSS OF MONITORING — If it is necessary to shut down the ATS
and a care unit has only one working ATS, notify the site's
biomedical department to provide alternate bedside patient
monitoring.
See Establish alternate monitoring methods on page B-
3.
NOTE
The Bed Duplicator is intended for temporary bed duplication. Permanent
duplication of bed data is not recommended because it can cause data corruption.
The Bed Duplicator application can temporarily transfer beds.
bed transfer on page 8-6.
The Bed Duplicator application is used to copy patient/bed data from one ApexPro
tower to another. This is useful for maintaining patient monitoring when a tower must
be shut down for service or maintenance.
The Bed Duplicator does not copy Full Disclosure (FD) data. FD is a function of the
CIC Pro center. Patient FD data is maintained at the CIC Pro center, not at the
ApexPro tower.
The Bed Duplicator application can be run from any ATS on the network. This
application can duplicate beds to/from any available ApexPro tower.
NOTE
It may be useful to run the Bed Duplicator from an ATS that will not be taken
offline because the Bed Duplicator application displays network bed admit/
discharge activity in the Log Messages window. Log Messages information is
purged if the Bed Duplicator application is shut down.
To start up the Bed Duplicator, follow these steps:
1.
Access the ATS desktop on page
