WARNING
EQUIPMENT FAILURE/HEALTH HAZARD — The manufacturer
does not in any manner, assume the responsibility for performing the
recommended maintenance schedule, unless an Equipment
Maintenance Agreement exists. The sole responsibility rests with
the individuals, hospitals, or institutions utilizing the device. Failure
on the part of all responsible individuals, hospitals or institutions,
employing the use of this device, to implement the recommended
maintenance schedule may cause equipment failure and possible
health hazards.
WARNING
LOSS OF MONITORING — If it is necessary to shut down the ATS
and a care unit has only one working ATS, notify the site's
biomedical department to provide alternate bedside patient
monitoring.
See Establish alternate monitoring methods on page B-
3.
The Bed Duplicator application can be used to temporarily transfer
patients to an alternate ApexPro tower. After completing the
procedure which required the ATS to be shut down, you must
discharge the duplicated patients from the other ATS.
NOTE
The following procedure requires an alternate ApexPro tower running on the
network, with a sufficient number of open receivers to accommodate copies of
the beds admitted to the ATS.
For more information, see
1.
Start the Bed Duplicator application.
NOTE
If possible, run the Bed Duplicator from an ATS that will not be taken offline
because the Bed Duplicator application displays network bed admit/
discharge activity in the Log Messages window. Log Messages information
is purged if the Bed Duplicator application is shut down.
2.
Record the names of the beds on the ATS. Bed names are changed during
duplication, and will need to be restored when the beds are copied back to the
ATS.
3.
Copy the beds on the ATS to the alternate tower.
