D After installing each retaining backing plate ring, measure move-
ment of brake piston again.
If it is not within standard range, it is possible that ring is not
installed properly. Then disassemble and reassemble again.
Standard movement of second coast brake piston:
1.00 – 1.20 mm (0.039 – 0.047 in.)
Standard movement of second brake piston:
1.01 – 2.25 mm (0.040 – 0.088 in.)
