General Description
This feature enables any station user to add another party to an existing connection, establishing a three-
way conference.
(Series 6100 software enhancement) Even if the additional D
WAY CALLING may be established. (This service is called Consultation Hold Enhancement.)
Operating Procedure
Procedure 1:
1.
Press switchhook; first party is placed on Consultation Hold; receive Special Dial Tone.
2.
Dial the desired number; receive answer.
3.
Announce the conference and press switchhook again.
4.
The THREE-WAY CALLING is now established.
(Series 6100 software enhancement) Procedure 2: (This service is called Hold on Consultation Hold
Enhancement.)
1.
While connected with the first party, press the hookswitch; receive Special Dial Tone. The first
party is placed on hold.
2.
Dial the second party (D
3.
The second party answers; the CONSULTATION HOLD - ALL CALLS state has been entered.
4.
The second party presses the hld key and the call in progress is held.
5.
Press the hookswitch and return to the original call.
6.
The second party or another D
7.
THREE-WAY CALLING is established.
Service Conditions
1.
The originating party may hang up at any time. The remaining two parties will not be
disconnected.
2.
This feature may be activated during any call.
3.
Any combination of parties (internal or external) may be included in a three-way call.
4.
The maximum number of simultaneous three-way calls is dependent on the quantity of Digital
Conference Trunks within the system. One Digital Conference Trunk circuit card can handle
eight simultaneous three-way calls.
5.
The THREE-WAY CALLING feature is not restricted by the line class of service assigned to the
user's line; thus, a fully restricted station can transfer a call to another station or the Attendant.
(Series 6100 software enhancement) When the Consultation Hold Enhancement service is used:
1.
Service restriction class of stations may be assigned at each station.
2.
This service is not available when THREE-WAY CALLING has been established.
3.
After the originating party presses the switchhook, the station can only go on-hook and press the
switchhook. The party in conversation can only operate on-hook.
4.
This service is not available when the transferred call is held by CALL HOLD and so on.
5.
When the additional station answers the held call, whether to send Override Tone or not depends
on the originating station service restriction class.
