2B-3 Front Suspension:
Toe (Total) ("b" – "a")
Front: IN 1.0 ± 1.0 mm (0.0394 ± 0.0394 in.)
F: Forward
Adjustment
CAUTION
!
• Never adjust only right or left tie-rod, be
sure to adjust both tie-rods by same
amount.
• Make sure that rack boot is not twisted.
Otherwise, rack boot may be broken.
1) Check tie-rod length referring to "Tie-Rod End Initial
Position Setting in Section 6C".
If necessary, adjust tie-rod length.
2) Loosen tie-rod end lock nuts.
3) Adjust right and left tie-rods by same amount to align
toe to specification.
4) After adjustment, tighten lock nuts to specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Tie-rod end lock nut (a): 45 N·m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5
lb-ft)

Camber and Caster Check

Check camber and caster by camber caster kingpin
gauge (1) and turning radius gauge (2). If measured
value is out of specified value, check following items for
damage, deformation and crack.
• Strut and component
• Suspension control arm and bush
• Suspension frame
• Wheel hub, steering knuckle or wheel bearing
• Vehicle body
Camber "a"
Front: –10' ± 1°
Caster "b"
Front: 3°40' ± 2°
NOTE
Camber and caster are not adjustable
structure.
