Fuel Pressure Relieving
Before disconnecting fuel lines or hoses, release
pressure from the system by loosening the fuel
pulsation damper on top of the fuel rail.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio,
then write down the frequencies for the radio's
preset buttons.
2, Disconnectthe negative cable from the battery.
3 . R e m o v e l h e f u e l f i l l c a p .
4. Remove the intake manifold cover (A).
Use a wrench on the fuel pulsation damper (A) at
t h e f u e l r a i l .
Place a rag or shop towel (B) over the fuel pulsation
o a m p e r .
Slowly loosen the fuel pulsation damper one
complete turn.
NOTE: Replace all washers whenever the fuel
pulsation damper is loosened or removed.

. Fuel pressure gauge 07406-004000A
. Fuel pressure gauge adapter 07VAJ-0040100
