Door Position and Door Striker Adjustment
NOTE:
. A f t e r i n s t a l l i n g t h e d o o r , c h e c k f o r a f l u s h f i t w i t h t h e b o d y , t h e n c h e c k f o r e q u a l g a p s b e t w e e n t h e t r o n t , r e a r , a n d
bottom door edges and the body. Check lhat the door and body edges are parallel.
. Place the vehicle on a firm. level surface when adjusting the door.

Slightly loosen the striker mounting screws (B).
Adjust the door alignment in this sequence:
. A d j u s t a t l h e h i n g e s ( C ) :
- L o o s e n t h e d o o r m o u n t i n g b o l t s ( D ) s l i g h t l y , a n d m o v e t h e d o o r i n o r o u t u n t i l i t ' s f l u s h w i t h t h e b o d y .
- Remove the inner fender (see page 20-105), then slightly loosen the hinge mountlng bolts (E). and move the
door backward or forward, up or down as necessary to equalize the gaps.
' T u r n t h e d o o r c u s h i o n s ( F ) , a s n e c e s s a r y , t o m a k e t h e r e a r o f t h e d o o r f l u s h w i t h t h e b o d y .
Make sure the door and body edges are parallel, and the door is flush with the body. Tighten the door and hinge
mounting bolts, and recheck.
