CRANKSHAFT / PISTON / VALVES / CYLINDER BLOCK
CRANKSHAFT
INSPECTION
Check the oil slinger of the crankshaft for damage and deformation.
Replace the crankshaft if it is damaged or deformed
REASSEMBLY
1. Install the timing belt on the timing gear of the crankshaft.
When installing, pay attention to the direction of the lettering on
the timing belt as shown.
Replace a worn or cracked timing belt. Do not bend or twist the
timing belt.
2. Install the crankshaft in the cylinder block.
3. Apply a bead of Hondabond HT liquid gasket to the cylinder
block; specifically to the mating surface of the crankcase cover.
Install the crankcase cover on the cylinder block

4. Install the cam pulley in the cylinder block, and install the timing
belt over the pulley (P.
10 x 20 x 5 mm OIL SEAL
REASSEMBLY
1. Set the oil seal on the crankshaft.
2. Install by aligning the seal projection with the groove in the
cylinder block.
3. Install the lower crankcase
