4. From GOT screen creation up to the
test

4.1 Preparation before using the GOT

This section describes the procedure of creating screens up to monitoring of PLC by the GOT.
GOT2000
Install the software package (GT Designer3 (GOT2000) and Help)
(Refer to the GT Works3 Installation Instructions).
Create project data (GT Designer3 (GOT2000)).
Create a project (Refer to section 4.2.1).
(Setting GOT/Controller (PLC) type to use)
Set controllers (Refer to section 4.2.2.)
(select connection method between GOT and PLC)
Screen switching device settings (Refer to section 4.2.3).
Connect the personal computer and GOT (Refer to section 4.3.1)
• USB cable
* USB cables are used during training.
• Ethernet cable
Transfer data to GOT (Refer to section 4.3.4)
Connect GOT and PLC (Refer to section 4.4.1)
• Ethernet cable (Ethernet and CC-Link IE Field Network)
• RS-232 cable
• RS-422 cable
* Ethernet cables are used for this training.
• Bus connection cable
• Fiber-optic cable (MELSECNET/H, MELSECNET/10, and CC-Link IE Controller Network)
• Coaxial cable (MELSECNET/H and MELSECNET/10)
• CC-Link-dedicated cable
Check that data has been properly transferred to the GOT.
