3.3 Troubleshooting by Symptom
Is the drive mode setting correct?
Is the user range setting selected?
Is 'CH1 D/A conversion enable/disable
setting' (Un\G500) set to D/A conversion
disable (1)?
Has 'Operating condition setting request' (Y9)
been executed?
Is any value written to Wave data registry
area (Un\G10000 to Un\G99999) which is
used for the channel to output a wave signal?
Is 'CH1 Wave output start/stop request'
(Un\G462) set to Wave output stop request
(0)?
Is 'CH1 Output enable/disable flag' (Y1) off?
Is the external power supply 24VDC
supplied?
(1) Is the external power supply correctly
wired?
(2) Is the external power supply 24VDC
supplied within the specified range?
Has any disconnection detection error
occurred?
Has each monitor for the wave output function
been updated?
Is the external power supply 24VDC
supplied?
(1) Is the external power supply correctly
wired?
(2) Is the external power supply 24VDC
supplied within the specified range?
Action
Check that the wave output mode is set using 'Operation mode monitor'
(Un\G60).
If the wave output mode is not set, set "Operation mode setting" to "Wave
output mode" in the module parameter.
If "Operation mode setting" is set to "Wave output mode", "User range setting
(current)" or "User range setting (voltage)" cannot be selected for the output
range.
If "User range setting (current)" or "User range setting (voltage)" is set for the
output range, set the value other than the user range settings.
Check 'CH1 D/A conversion enable/disable setting' (Un\G500) and set D/A
conversion enable (0).
Turn on and off 'Operating condition setting request' (Y9) to enable the
parameter setting of the wave output function.
Check the value in Wave data registry area (Un\G10000 to Un\G99999) which
is used for the channel to output a wave signal.
During a pause of the wave output, the monitors of the wave output function
can be checked.
After setting "Analog output HOLD/CLEAR setting" to "HOLD" in the module
parameter, set 'CH1 Wave output start/stop request' (Un\G462) to Wave
output pause request (2) to pause the analog output status. Then, check the
monitors.
Check 'CH1 Wave output status monitor' (Un\G401).
If 'CH1 Wave output status monitor' (Un\G401) is set to During wave output
stop (0), set 'CH1 Wave output start/stop request' (Un\G462) to Wave output
start request (1).
Check the status of 'CH1 Output enable/disable flag' (Y1).
If 'CH1 Output enable/disable flag' (Y1) is off, correct the program.
(1) Wire the external power supply by referring to the "External Wiring"
described in the manual. ( MELSEC iQ-R High Speed Digital-Analog
Converter Module User's Manual (Startup))
(2) Supply 24VDC within the range of the performance specifications. (

Manual (Startup))
The possible cause is a failure of the D/A converter module. Please consult
your local Mitsubishi representative.
Action
When a disconnection detection error has occurred, the wave output stops.
After reviewing the external wiring, turn on 'Error clear request' (YF). After the
error has been resolved, restart the wave output.
If each monitor for the wave output function has been updated, measure the
terminal block using a tester and check the output. If output is identified,
external wiring may be disconnected. Stop the wave output and review the
external wiring.
