Step 2 Connect the CIM communications cable. Connect one end of the RS485 cable to the
COM_OUT port on the CIM, and the other end to the COM2 port on the UPS monitoring
interface card.

If the battery string is not configured with a neutral wire, connecting two Hall effect sensors to the
positive or negative battery string cable is used as an example. Connect the Hall effect sensors on the
positive or negative battery string cable to the HALL_1 and HALL_2 current monitoring ports on the
CIM.
Prepare an RS485 cable by yourself.
