Step 3 Install Hall effect sensors. The arrow on the Hall effect sensor on the positive battery string
cable should point to the battery string. The arrow on the Hall effect sensor on the negative
battery string cable should point to the BCB box.
If the positive or negative battery string cable is too thick to be routed through the Hall effect
sensor, or the measurement range of the Hall effect sensor is not enough, use multiple Hall
effect sensors to monitor the current of one battery string. The CIM supports the sum of the
monitoring results of multiple Hall effect sensors.

Route the positive and negative battery string cables to Hall effect sensors.
Secure Hall effect sensors to the positive and negative battery string cables using cable
ties.
