Localizing the Phone Display Language

SPA922/942/962 Release 5 supports setting of an alternative language on the user display . The LVS
Administrator (service provider) defines up to nine available languages and the preferred language .
The Service Provider hosts the dictionaries for each of the languages (plus English) in a provisioning
server (tftp, http) . Preferred language and English are stored in non-volatile memory (after download) .
During startup, the phone checks the selected/preferred language and downloads the dictionary
from theTFTP/HFTP provisioning server . The end user can change the language of the phone from the
user menu by selecting Setup > Language .
Downloading the Dictionary Files
1 . Start Internet Explorer, and enter the address of the EMEA Portal (
linksys-itsp .com) .
NOTE:
North American partners can find localization files in the Utilities area of the Linksys
Partner Connection .
2 . In the left navigation pane, select the following links:

used during the localization process .

Assigning a Dictionary to a Phone
In the administration web utility for each phone, you need to enter a code to identify the location of
the dictionary file and the preferred language .
1 . Start Internet Explorer, and then enter the IP address of the SPA9000 .
Admin Login and then click Advanced .
2 . Click
PBX Status link, near the top right corner of the page .
