Configuring the SPA932 Sidecar to Work with the SPA9000
The SPA932 is an attendant console, also known as a sidecar, that operates with the SPA962 IP phone
to allow a user to manage calls and monitor the status of other stations . Up to two sidecars can be
attached . Each provides up to 32 programmable buttons for speed dial, busy lamp field (BLF), and call
pickup features .
NOTE:
All phones that are associated with SPA932 keys must have station names on their phone

configuration pages . For more information, see

SPA901, SPA921, SPA941 cannot be monitored for Busy Lamp Function (BLF) by the SPA962/

SPA932, as these phones do not support CTI .
Each station can be monitored only by one SPA962/932 at a time .

Connect the SPA962 and the SPA932 together, according to the instructions in the Quick
Installation guide .

Connect a cable from the WAN port of the SPA962 to a port on your switch . The display flickers
briefly and then the color display appears with the assigned extension number .

Use the administration computer to install the latest firmware for the SPA962 .
