Bluetooth® operations is normally enabled at point of manufacture, but can also be enabled after sale
(product option code ASTOUCH-36). For more details contact GE.
In order to obtain the best results when using Bluetooth® wireless technology it is important to correctly
position the base unit of the ADTS in a reliable coverage area with respect to the aircraft.
Figure 3-56 gives an example of good base unit positioning, which should be:
forward of a line level with the cockpit window
a minimum of 1 m away from the fuselage edge
a maximum of 8 m out from the nose wheel
a position the top edge of the base unit nearest to the aircraft with the output ports facing upwards.
