Replace a Route Processor Card

d) Rotate the lever all the way to the front of the chassis until it locks in place with a click.
Ensure that the other end of the lever engages behind the front of the slot so that the card fully seats onto
the connectors on the midplane.
e) Rotate the captive screw to secure the card to the chassis. Tighten the screws to 9.7 in-lbs (1.09 N-m) of
torque.
f) Attach the following cables to the card:
• Console cable—Attach to the Console port.
• Management cable—Attach to the Management Ethernet port.

Slide the back end of the card into the open
route processor slot.
Rotate the ejector lever towards the card.
Reload an RP card by using the reload location location command. Verify that the reloaded
RP card is again in the Operational state by using the show platform command.
To verify the mode of RP card, if it is in standby or active mode, use the show platform
domain command.
Replace Chassis Components

Press the latch upwards.

Rotate the captive screw to secure the route
processor card.
