as the "UDP Port" in the BBMD of inte re s t.
Each e ntry is us e d as a mas k on the ne twork of the BBMD of inte re s t. Typically s e t
to 255.255.255.255 (the de fault), which indicate s that BACne t/IP me s s age s go
only to the BBMD of inte re s t and to no othe r de vice s on the s ubne t.
CAUTION: Changing this s e tting (mos t commonly to 255.255.255.0) is a common
caus e of IP routing is s ue s , s ince mos t IP route rs do not allow me s s age s to be
forwarde d to multiple de vice s as a s e curity pre caution. In ne arly all applications ,
le ave this s e tting to the de fault 255.255.255.255.
